Cigna Members Able to Keep Plans Thru Dec 2014

Cigna has announced that all of its current and new members can keep their Cigna plan through December 31, 2014.  What appears to be a loophole in the ObamaCare is if a member chooses a December 31, 2013 effective the policy will be good for a full year.

What Do Current Members Need to Do?

Depends on what is best for you. That just means many people stay on their current plan because of a preexisting condition that disqualifies them from switching coverage. But as of January 1, 2014 all new health insurance must offer guaranteed issuance to all regardless of medical history.

You should weigh your current plan against other options. For help comparing your current Cigna plan and other plans that are currently available or the new ObamaCare plans called Bronze Plan, Silver Plan, Gold Plan, and Platinum Plan call 800-930-7956.

If you know you want to stay on your current Cigna plan, you don’t have to do anything, because you will automatically be re-enrolled without having to do anything.
