Here are a few things you will want to know before you apply for Vision or Dental insurance.

1) Vision and Dental typically don’t have underwriting so you will usually be approved immediately. Most dental plans begin the month following the month of your application as long as you get it in during the first 15 days of the month.

2) Some vision and dental benefits are automatically offered to minors under Obamacare. If you are under 19 check to see if the built in coverage makes will work for you. 

3) If you are applying for Medical coverage you will usually be offered a Dental and/or Vision plan for an additional cost. You can select that choice during the application or you can usually add it later.
