Alabama ACA 3 Providers Announced
Alabama announced three insurance providers to be offer insurance beginning October 1, 2013. Blue Cross and Blue Shield and United Healthcare will offer insurance statewide, while Humana will offer plans in the majority of the regions. The new plans are called the Affordable Care Act Bronze Plan, Silver Plan, Gold Plan, and Platinum Plan.

- Essential Health Benefits -such as $0 preventive care
- 80/20 Rule -means that your insurance provider must spend 80% of your premium on medical care or refund you
- Premium Subsidies -to help keep your monthly payment down for those who qualify
- Cost-Sharing Subsidies -financial help when you seek medical care
Alabama Rates
Alabama has yet to release its premium rates or breakdown of plans. However, since other states have released their plans and premiums, agents can help you estimate what you would pay. And as of October 1, 2013 all rates will be ready for enrolling.
