NFL No Longer Touting ObamaCare
The NFL, in a decision to remain non-partisan, has rescinded its agreement to come out publicly in support of ObamaCare. This is a huge blow to the Affordable Care Act who needs the young and uninsured to sign up for the new “metal” plans known as the Bronze Plan, Silver Plan, Gold Plan, and Platinum Plan.
According to the individual state Exchanges, hundreds to thousands of uninsured persons have to sign up daily for the Health Insurance Marketplace plans for it to be a successful program. There is a concern that mainly the sick and aging will sign up for an Exchange plan since preexisting conditions no longer preclude anyone from obtaining insurance with ObamaCare. If this is the primary group that purchases the new plans, premiums and medical costs will rise significantly.
